Original concept and design by Garry R. James

Steven Le Prevost's Gallery

Steve’s creative style flourished while making the transition between film and digital capture. He found the use of generic filter effects in software packages very over used and uninspiring so began to develop his own style of ethereal and sometimes impressionistic work.

He is based in Guernsey C.I. but travels to UK mainland on a regular basis to lecture and judge. Steve gained his RPS Fellowship and PAGB Master award in 2005 and he also holds the AFIAP distinction. He currently serves on the RPS Visual Art Associateship and Fellowship assessment panels.

He was invited to become a member of the London Salon in 2011 and regards this as a great honour and recognition from his peers. Some of his work is included as part of the Royal Photographic Societies Permanent Collection for the Nation.

The backdrops used in many of the pictures are hand painted scraps of card which are then photographed and gradually blended into the initial capture. Broadly speaking his techniques are not Photoshop led, albeit the software is used to combine the various elements of the picture into one finished piece of work.
