Mary was elected a member of the London Salon in 2000. She had worked mainly in colour until the l990s when she moved towards monochrome, on which she has concentrated since then.

Mary gained her FRPS with monochrome darkroom prints in 2001. Observational pictures, usually containing a human element, are a strong feature of her black & white work, whereas her colour pictures are more concerned with mood and colour arrangement.

Her work has featured in many national and international exhibitions.
