Known as "the Welsh Dragon", because of her Dragon Signature on the back of her prints, Margaret considers her election to the Salon, in 1981, to be her greatest achievement, only surpassed by her election as Chairman in 1998, especially as she is the first lady Chairman in the Salon's hundred year history. She gained two Fellowships in 1979, in Pictorial and Applied/Illustrative and is a member of the Management Team, serving as Chairman and as a Panel Member, of the Licentiate Panel of the RPS. Hold the EFIAP award and the APAGB for services to photography. A member of the North Wales Photographic Association her first love is monochrome landscapes, particularly of North Wales and Slate areas. She enjoys expressing herself, and her reactions to strange sights or situations, the bizarre, walls, windows and the way she feels that fantasy and reality are never far apart. For many years an Ilford sponsored lecturer travelling all over Britain, Ireland and abroad, which enables her to meet photographers from all walks of life.She teaches City and Guilds photography and enjoys passing on her "love" of photography. Also enjoys seeing other people's photographs which she is able to do by judging and assessing at local, national and international levels.
