István is an internationally recognised authority on photography. Born in 1923 in Hungary, he became interested in photography in the 1940's and began exhibiting internationally in 1948.
He was a founding member of the Hungarian Photo-Artists Association.
In New York in 1984, he was honoured as a Prominent Photo-artist of the Century.
