Irene has enjoyed photography since she was a schoolgirl. She joined Dundee PS in 1960, then Shillington & DCC after a move to Hertfordshire when she married in 1966.
She is now resident in Wellington, Shropshire where she is a member of Wrekin Arts PC and Smethwick PS. Irene gained her FRPS in 1994 and was elected to the London Salon in 1996.
She has exhibited widely as well as lecturing throughout Great Britain. After years of colour printing from slides in the darkroom, Irene is now totally digital producing delicate pastel prints on Permajet Fine Art papers.
She is still fired with enthusiasm and cannot imagine a life without photography.
