David took up photography whilst at school and gained his Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) in 1980 at the age of 23. He has previously served on the Society’s Visual Arts Distinctions Panel (assessing Associate and Fellowship applications) and is currently serving a second term as an elected member of the Advisory Board. He was awarded the Excellence of the Federation International de l’Art Photographique at the platinum level (EFIAP/p) in 2009 on the basis of his exhibition acceptance record. He has recently been successful in gaining his Master of the Federation (MFIAP) with a panel of 20 colour photographs of Rajasthani villagers.David has been a member of Smethwick Photographic Society for over 30 years and has served two terms as president. He was invited to become a member of the London Salon of Photography in 2005. He held his first exhibition at Hooper’s Gallery in London the same year.
